How Our Fees Work
Energy is charged in p/kWh on your invoices alongside standing charges (sometimes metering or other fixed charges).
We work out a p/kWh uplift based your energy use and add this to your supplier's base p/kWh energy rate.
This rate is shown on all your supplier comparisons reports as a p/kWh rate, and an estimated annual cost. As well as all supply contracts.
OFGEM's ADR Scheme
Operational since December 2022. The ADR scheme is an accreditation system for energy brokers.
It sets:
- Transparency procedures for brokers
- Complaints procedures for businesses

My name is Tom Prudden. Founder of FairCare.
I grew up on a farm in Winnie The Pooh country here in East Sussex. Where I still live with my family.
After university I stumbled into the energy industry. I quickly noticed a huge problem: Pressure and misleading sales tactics were everywhere.
I felt like walking away. But I decided to try to make a difference.
I moved from residential energy to business sales in 2006. And began working with care homes around 2009.
In the years since. I saw it all. Care homes hounded night and day by brokers and suppliers, who only seemed interested in their commission cheque.
Every financial service needs to be paid. But not if the fee is so high it compromises the whole service. Many brokers' commissions are excessive, and eat up most of the 'savings' on offer.
Too many innocent care homes are unaware of the issue. Simply putting their trust in the broker they use.
This malpractice has slowly destroyed belief in energy consultancy. Leaving many care homes with no reliable energy partner. And no belief that there is even such a thing.
The truth is though, it needn't be this way.
